Assessing a Person for Leadership

Assessing a person for leadership starts with their character. Then you discern their capacity. Character + Capacity gives you clarity on their Competency—measurable, objective leadership ability. Sadly, we do not do this well, not just from poor character discernment but also from installing folks into positions they don't have the high-level skill set to do. Then there are those who "place themselves" in positions of leadership authority over others because they can, and there is nobody to speak to them about their limitations, lack of training, and the adverse effect they have on their audience.

Life Over Coffee exists to bring hope and help for you and others by creating resources that spark conversations for transformation.
