Quickie: The Tocqueville Effect

Alexis de Tocqueville during the French Revolution observed that the more social justice is achieved, people get louder and louder about the tiniest perceived injustice, resulting in ever-increasing social costs in the name of ever-decreasing social improvements. We're pretty much living it.
