Panasonic Announces Construction of World's Largest Battery Factory in U.S.

Japanese electronics giant Panasonic has announced that it will build a new battery factory in Kansas, USA. The project is expected to create as many as 4,000 new jobs and bring in up to $4 billion in investment, making it the largest economic development project in Kansas state history, according to the Kansas Governor's Office. The White House commented that the project will provide a safer supply chain for the United States in the lithium battery market dominated by China.
