Hiking the North Dakota Badlands, Part 1

Join my children and I for an up-close-and-personal experience of our 4 miles hike in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Unit. In part 1, we start at the breathtaking River Bend Overlook where most of the North Unit of the park is visible along the Little Missouri River. Then, we started hiking the Upper Caprock Coulee trail along the heights of the eroded badlands. The trail blew us away (in more ways than one) because of its amazing scenic views of the Little Missouri River Badlands and strong southwesterly winds!
