Since about 2006, Lake Windermere has produced about ten 'lake monster' sightings. Reports date back to the 1950s of a strange creature living in the waters of Windermere, just a few hours drive from the infamous Loch Ness. Our guest Andy McGrath, cryptozoology enthusiast and author of Beasts of Britain with over 25 years of research and obsession about the unknown creatures weighs in on Windermere’s lake monster named "Bownessie" named after the nearby town of Bowness.
