US is 'behind China militarily': Chris Smith

Chris Smith says the US is behind China militarily and “had better get their act together”.
“In fact a United States senator who’s close to America's weapons developments, has admitted that the US is years behind China in terms of the latest military technology," Mr Smith said.
“Angus King, who’s an independent senator from Maine, he chairs the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Strategic Forces.
“He has told Fox News that the United States' hypersonic technology is as much as five years behind their key military rival.”
