ESPN is supposedly dedicated to the WNBA. ESPN is the home of the WNBA...and is supposed to air coverage of the WNBA each week. However...throughout the month of July ESPN has a four-week gap of WNBA coverage.
We explain the reason...by comparing NBA Summer League ratings to WNBA ratings on ESPN and NBA TV. We discuss why ESPN doesn't truly value their partnership with the WNBA...and how they continue bumping the WNBA to cover other events.
