In the basement of a Privolye school, villagers rounded up off the streets were taken to be interrogated, tortured, or worse. Only some returned. The school, once a place where young children learned, was taken over by the infamous Tornado Battalion.

The group was forcefully disbanded in 2015 and the kingpins sent to prison, but the legacy lives long in the memory. Mobile phones recovered from the improvised torture chambers show orgies of rape and violence amongst the horrors.
