Rare WW2 PanzerJager I - 4, 7 cm PaK (t) footage.

The Panzerjäger I was the first of the German tank destroyers to see service in WW2. It mounted a Czech Škoda 4.7 cm PaK (t) anti-tank gun on a converted Panzer I Ausf. B chassis and was produced from 1940 until 1941 and only 201 were made.
It was a effective weapon and it will usually hit its target with the first shot at ranges up to 1,000 metres, but it had a high superstructure which made it easy to spot and a small gun shield that gave almost no protection for the crew.

The Panzerjager I 35R was another tank destroyer with the same name and were made from converted captured R35 by Alkett between May to October 1941, there weren't as successful as the Panzerjäger I, mainly due to the slow speed of the R 35 and the overloaded chassis, but there were still used in France in the Battle of Normandy and in Arnhem, when the original PanzerJager I was already discontinued.
