God of War II (PS2) Gameplay Sample

NOTE: I did not realize the sound eventually become a little out of sync in this footage. From now on, if I am using this setup, I'll have to run the footage through Handbrake which is a very useful program for aligning sound in footage.
I am testing a new capture device for this video. I'm using the Vivitar HDMI to USB Video Capture Card, and OBS to see how the quality turns out. I've been having some sound-popping issues with my ElGato HD60S, so I decided to try this as a secondary solution. So far, I have noticed quite a bit of Screen tearing, so maybe it's not the best for Gameplay Samples, but I can use it for review footage. It doesn't pick up the same visual glitches on standard def PS2 games that the HD60s does.

Anyway, this is God of War II, which needs no introduction, as any top 10 PS2 games list will have either this game, or it's sequel on it. I have edited out my deaths, and a few more boring (and naughty) parts.

It took me a long time to finally play the original God of War, because I had very little interest in it. I was already tired of DMC type of games, and I figured GoW was the same after playing a demo of the game. However, the parts that surprised me were the Zelda-style parts of the game that had exploration and puzzle solving elements. So it has both brains, and bronze.

Graphically, this game is rightfully seen as one of the best looking PS2 games. It supports both progressive scan, and 16:9 widescreen.

I found this capture card at Walmart of all places, and it probably works better to link your streaming camera through for OBS than your games, but I like having multiple options to try.

If you are interested in this capture card, I'll link to the Walmart link so you can find it (even if there are quite a few cards like this):
