Suspect Armed With Knife Fatally Shot By Police After Rushing Female Officer

On June 29th, Saranac Lake police responded to reports of a stabbing at a local Stewart’s Shop where they encountered 33-year-old Joshua De’Miguel Kavota who rushed an officer while armed with a knife after being asked to drop it. Kavota was fatally shot by a backup officer during the incident.
