Dramatic dog forgets how to move after being forced to wear 'cone of shame'

A dog has sent TikTok into a frenzy after his owner posted various clips of him wearing a cone - that resulted in him "forgetting how to move".

Makeup artist Courtney Oliver, 26, of Perth in Australia posted a two-part series of videos showing her dog unable to move after wearing the cone.

One-year-old mastiff-sharpei mix Leo was forced to wear the cone so he wouldn't lick his paws after special cream was applied to help with his allergies on his paws.

Leo had to go to the vet because of his allergies and the vet sent him home with the cone and he instantly became statue-like.

The videos posted online have racked up over 1,000,000 views on TikTok sending viewers into a frenzy laughing at poor Leo's situation.

Timid Leo is seen stuck on a table with the cone forcing Courtney to move him away so he can move again, despite not being stuck in the first place.

Another clip shows him being chased with the cone and then seemingly unable to move once he's wearing it.

Courtney explained: "We had just come back from the vet and had to put the cone on our dog, suddenly he was acting like he forgot how to move and was being very dramatic, he was like a statue.

"He’s fine, he just gets allergies on his paws and isn’t allowed to lick the steroid cream off as if will make him sick and defeat the purpose of the cream."

For the time being Leo will have to wear the cone of shame for a couple of hours each day while the cream is applied and eventually won't have to at all if the treatment works.

Courtney continued: "He is a really chilled easy going dog and not much phases him.

"However, he is a MASSIVE sook so we think he just wanted extra attention.

"His doggie sister has had three major surgeries and has had to wear a cone for long periods of time and never acted like this."
