JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 10:7-10
• Matt 10:7 The Jews were waiting for the Messiah to usher in his Kingdom. They hoped for a political and military kingdom that would free them from Roman rule and bring back the days of glory under David and Solomon. But Jesus was talking about a spiritual Kingdom. The Good News today is that the Kingdom is still near. Jesus, the Messiah, has already begun his Kingdom on earth in the hearts of his followers. One day the Kingdom will be fully realized. Then evil will be destroyed and all people will live in peace with one another.

• Matt 10:8 These would have been impossible tasks had not Jesus already empowered them to do these very things (verse Mat_10:1). Whatever God has given you—gifts, abilities, money, talent—has been given to you freely by His grace. Now let these gifts freely flow through you to help those around you. You might be saying, "I feel so bankrupt. I don't feel like I have a lot to give." But the Word tells us that we have not because we ask not (Jas_4:2). Maybe we should be spending a little more time in prayer, saying, "Lord, I need to be blessed. I need to be empowered so that I might be a blessing to others." Blessings are like joy—you can't give it unless you have it.

• Matt. 10:9-10 "I'm sending you out. Now go with the flow, and trust Me to take care of you. You don't need to encumber yourselves with lots of gadgets and provisions. I will provide." When the disciples went out healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, and raising the dead, don't you think someone might have asked them over for dinner? I do. I think what the Lord is saying here is, "If you're going about doing good, preaching the gospel, healing the sick, and cleansing the lepers, the workman is worthy of his meat. I'll take care of you. The people will respond to you, and blessings will flow freely to you because you are giving freely." Whatever ministry you are involved in, know this: When God guides, God provides. People will be blessed, touched, and encouraged. And they will want to be a blessing in return.

Personal Supplication
Father in the name of Jesus, thank You for the provisions that You always make available for every vision. Is. 41:10
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: Be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; Yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Daily Protection Covenant Declaration
Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover me with his feathers, and under his wings shall I trust: his truth shall be my shield and buckler.
I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand; but it shall not come nigh me.
Only with my eyes shall I behold and see the wicked rewarded.

Because I have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation;
There shall no evil befall me neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling.
For God shall give his angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways.
They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.
I shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet.
Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set me on high, because I have known His name.
I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me.
