Explore Program Back After Pandemic - July 14, 2022 - Micah Quinn

Quebec students were welcomed to Lethbridge College on Thursday to participate in a teepee raising event. These students are part of the Explore Bursary Program. The bursary includes accommodations with students staying in Lethbridge College Residences or with local families. English language learning and cultural workshops take place for the students on the weekdays and on weekends they have been visiting areas like Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park, Fort Whoop-Up and Waterton Lakes National Park.

The program is funded by Canadian Heritage and administered by the Council of Ministers of Education of Canada. Since its launch in 1971, thousands of Canadians have been given the opportunity to learn their second official language.
