MY EVER PRESENT AND ETERNAL REFUGE
Psalm 46:5-7 King James Version
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY FRIENDS!!!
You know, I can very much relate to Xochitl’s frustration over her physical condition, as I to have permanent, physical pain, and often become very frustrated and angry over my own physical limitations. I struggle too with as she refers to “stillness” in this area, and I sometimes resent my own limitations. It’s in those moments, that God speaks to my heart, showing me awesome truths about His love, compassion, and care for me, reminding me to “be still” and know that He is not only God, but that in Him I will NEVER be moved, shaken, or overcome!
I think that's why these questions from this morning's devotional are so challenging to my heart, and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will speak to you through them.
How have you experienced God's strength in powering you through a season of stillness?
What I'd like to do right now, share some things that God is put on my heart through this vlog I did back in 2020 on Psalm 46, and I pray that God will speak to you through it. Please join me in watching this vlog, and learn for yourself how you can take confidence in the One that you can find refuge in and will never be moved, shaken, or overcome! 😊
So, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with this final question from this morning's devotional, and I pray that it will challenge you to trust in God for every situation that you face, and that you will run to him as your shelter and refuge in every situation.
How can reflecting on His unchanging character help you persevere?
I believe that by reflecting on God's unchanging character, I'm reminded and encouraged to remember that I serve a God-the only God-who not only cares about me, but it's always there for me and will never fail me! That when I cling to and claim the promises in His Word, remembering all the times in which God has not only been there for me and for Ricky, learning to focus on His goodness and His mercy in every situation it helps me to not only persevere, but to as Psalm 46:10 states so well, “Be still and know that I am God!”
