5W30, 5W40, 10W30 or 10W40. What Engine Oil viscosity should you put into your 350Z or G35? We put Castrol Edge 5W40 into our 2005 Nissan 350Z with a VQ35DE REVUP engine. Nissan Recommends 5W30 for general purpose, but also states in the manual you can elect to use 10W30 or 10W40 if you chose.
