05-17-20. Join me for a follow up look at the 2 wildlife ponds, aka deer watering holes, that I recently dug with my Bobcat e42 mini excavator as well as the water erosion/water drainage ditches that I created to strategically re route the water flow on this land clearing land management property project that we've been working on. Living on an Illinois homestead, or doing wildlife conservation, or property management is and can be very rewarding when you have some success! I had a certain 'vision' for this property that is definitely coming to fruition very quickly! After several days of rain on and off I decided to take a walk and check this Illinois land project to see how my excavator work, wildlife ponds/deer watering holes and new ditches were doing. You'll get to see them with me to see how I did, and see what else might need to be done, as well as if they are holding water or if they were just a 'bust,' and a waste of time.
