Is it possible that the NBA is going to launch an investigation into the Philadelphia 76ers for the James Harden contract? We all know that the Sixers James Harden has elected to take a $15 million pay cut for the coming 2022/23 NBA season in order to give the team cap flexibility. However, some circumstances surrounding this deal are causing people to question if perhaps James Harden is getting some financial incentive outside of the Sixers. Just before Jame Harden signed his new deal with the 76ers, Sixers minority owner and owner of Fanatics (Michael Rubin) stepped down as owner of the 76ers. Despite stepping down, Michael Rubin reportedly still took part in the James Harden contract negotiations. Michael Rubin and James Harden have a long standing friendship so this situation is leading to some speculation of foul-play.

In other news according to Joel Embiid's training Drew Hanlen, Joel Embiid has a fresh mentality heading into the 2022/23 NBA season. Embiid will no longer focus on winning the MVP, but will put him energy solely towards focusing on an NBA championship for the 6ers.
