Leslie At Large | Episode 6

This week Leslie shares about her experiences and the lessons learned this past weekend. She dusted off her old pageant crown and enjoyed spending the day with the Miss Nicaragua candidates while they were doing a photoshoot on the beautiful beaches at Gran Pacifica. Being a former pageant girl, Leslie enjoyed getting to know these young women…they were all amazing and beautiful in their own way. After hanging with the girls, it was time to bring out the cowboy hat and boots, and get back to her Texas roots. It’s rodeo time in Nicaragua. We loaded up some of the residents from Gran Pacifica, and off we went to Villa El Carmen to watch some bull riding. While sitting in the bleachers, and just observing the men, women, and children, it always brings a smile to my face. The simplicity of life and the reminder that we are all the same. Family, friends, laughter, kindness...it is all universal.
