Sri Lanka: Police deploy tear gas at protesters in front of PM and now President's office

Police are using tear gas and water cannons as thousands of protesters gather outside the Prime Minister's office in Sri Lanka to demand his resignation.

He has just been appointed Acting President by the President who fled the country for the Maldives overnight. A state of emergency and a curfew have been declared.
