There are thirteen species of owl on the continent of Europe, but most of them also live in Asia and North America. So they have different Spaces to move around and adapt to their habitat.

In Northern Europe, there are snowy owls, which have been forced farther north than any other owl species, along with the great owl, the ghost owl, and the forest owl.

Europe's largest owl species, the eagle owl is recovering after a century of hunting. Common owls such as long-eared, short-eared and grey-forest owls are among its prey.

The barn owl is probably best known for its love of living in areas cultivated (or inhabited) by humans. The smallest European owl belongs to the caledonian Owl. Slightly larger are the red-horned owl and the long-bellied owl.
