Inside the elephant's mouth 😰😱😱

Elephants go through six sets of teeth in their life time. The new teeth push in from behind and push the old tooth forward. along the jaw line. The old tooth then fractions off in pieces at the front. Each set lasts longer than the previous set. The reason elephants need to change teeth is because they grow so much during their life time and they need bigger teeth as they mature. Generally they have just one big grinding molar on each Jaw quadrant. Sometimes the second incoming replacement tooth in will also be present. Each set is bigger than the last and lasts longer than the previous set.
