Part of First Fire's comment that we address in this Video... =)

51:30 CC does not include SW. Russian GO unit is 4 FP. They defend at full FP but attack at half FP since they are pinned. The broken unit should have routed, but if there is broken unit in CC, it defends at full FP (4 FP in this case), but does not attack. Germans have 14 FP (2 x 4-6-7s , 1 x 5-4-8, and 1 leader which counts as 1 FP). If there is no ambush the attacks are simultaneous. If one side has ambush, that player rolls first and resolves that attack before the other player can roll, using whatever units are remaining.

The German player declares which squad the leader is with. Each player declares what their attack will be. The Russian can attack 1, 2, or all of the Germans. The German can attack 1 or both of the Russian units using any combination of his units.

As an example, the German player states the leader is with the 5-4-8. He will attack the GO squad with the 5-4-8 and leader at 3:2 -1 (6 FP vs 4 FP, -2 for the leader and +1 vs Ambush). The two 4-6-7s will attack the broken unit at 2:1 -1 (8 FP vs 4 FP, -2 vs broken unit, +1 vs ambush). The Russian player attacks the 5-4-8 and leader at 1:4 -1 (4 halved to 2 vs 6, -1 by Ambush).

In your example, the 5-4-8 stayed out of CC. The Russian attacked the 4-6-7’s and leader at 1:4 -1, rolled a 2 for a final DR of 1 eliminating the Germans before they can attack. The 5-4-8 is still there and the CC counter is flipped to Melee.

A final DR that equals the Kill number listed on the CCT results in Casualty Reduction of one of the attacked units (randomly determined).
