The 4.0 magnitude earthquake in Balingen Germany earthquake was downgraded from a 4.4 magnitude earthquake. It was so strong that 5571 people reported they felt it!

While performing an analysis of the earthquakes in Germany, it was detected there were 4 unconfirmed earthquakes within 24 hours. The other two earthquakes were a 1.1 magnitude earthquake and the 4.0 magnitude earthquake. Guess you can call this an unconfirmed earthquake swarm.

The Unconfirmed Earthquakes were:

1. 3.8 magnitude earthquake near Stuttgart, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
2. 3.6 magnitude earthquake near Billingen=Schwenningen, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
3. 2.7 magnitude earthquake near Jungingen, Germany (according to map)
4. *No Magnitude Listed near Nagold, Karlsruhe Region, Baden-Württemberg, Germany (unconfirmed) - 205 Residents reported this unconfirmed earthquake was felt. This was one hour prior to the 4.0 earthquake.

How can so many earthquakes be unconfirmed? What would you call this? A swarm of unconfirmed earthquakes?

*The video shows 4 unconfirmed but it was hard to determine the magnitude due to not being on the map or the app. It was listed on the website with no magnitude.

The precise location of the 4.0 magnitude earthquake was listed below:

9.7 km north of Balingen, Tuebingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Other neighboring countries with earthquake swarms that are on the list:

France earthquakes
Switzerland earthquakes
Monaco earthquakes
Italy earthquakes
Liechtenstein earthquakes
Spain earthquakes

Few unknown volcanoes in Germany:

Siebengebirge (possibly extinct)
Rodderberg (possibly extinct)
Laacher See (currently inactive)
East Eifel Volcanic Field (possibly extinct)
Cheb Basin Volcanic Area (currently inactive)

I'm sure many aren't aware of the volcanoes in Germany and with the current situation, it may be a good idea to be aware of them.

Highly recommends the European theater have some sort of emergency/earthquake/disaster app. There are many small earthquake swarms within your area and it has been increasing. Another thing to check into is the extinct and inactive volcanoes in your area. Take care and stay safe.

Personal note: I lived in Germany for 3 years and was some of the best years of my life. Very scenic and has the best wine I've ever tasted. Auslese and Eis Wein were my favorites. Really enjoyed the German Culture and food. Stay safe and Germany will forever be in my heart.
