DON'T ASK ME - DUSTIN WRAY

This is the title track to my recent Raven Faith Records release "DON'T ASK ME". This video is a remake of the video for 'TALK TO YA LATER" by the San Fransisco-based band THE TUBES, which was released back in 1981. The video was shot at Nexus Sound Studio in Youngstown, OH and was directed and edited by Alex Thomas.

The song perfectly fit the idea for their video concept (which I always thought was very cool), so I decided to remake the video. It was probably the most fun I ever had shooting a music video!!

Interestingly, their video for "Talk To Ya Later" was actually originally released as part of a long form video for their album "The Completion Backward Principle" (1981, Capitol Record) and was then subsequently released to MTV when the single was released. I never knew this until decades later. LOL! I always wanted to be able to watch it. When I released the video on 2/19/22, I posted it on a couple of Tubes Fan pages. I asked about where you might be able to see the long form video. In the comments section, you will see where one awesome Tubes fan obliged me with the answer! Thank you Jeff!!
