Vitamix A2500 Ascent Series Smart Blender, Professional-Grade, 64 oz. Low-Profile Container, Black
If a blender you need, then you must take heedyour life will forever be changed:The Vitamix Ascent is a miracle present, the A2500 a new kind of breed. The timers amazing, the speed is a-blazingand the container is as wide as my grin.It whips and it blends, more useful than friends,I look at it and cant help it I sing. Not to bring this thing down, but it does make me frownthat the lid is not rubber, but plastic. The longevity is suspect, as plastics not perfect, thus my old Vitamix will take the crown. The tamper is shorter, by only a quarter,as shown in my photos above. The price is quite steep, so if you are cheap,a lesser brand may be in order. Its not whisper quiet, but definitely try it,a 10-year warranty is quite key.A four star review, four-and-a-half is more true,I recommend that you go out and buy it.
Powerful but not quiet. Produces very smooth and creamy drinks in just a few seconds. No more operate on medium for 20 seconds and then on high speed for 90 seconds.
Easy to clean and operate. I would personally like to have seen the display screen a matte finish rather than a high gloss one. Photo shows clearance under the cabinet with the optional 48" container, but the 64" container will also just barely fit.
Whats not to like except the price!
Im making smoothies, margaritas, and Pina coladas with this machine. Its amazing. Who cares that its loud? I want results. I want RPM performance. This comes at high decibels.
The smoothness of the finished drink is fantastic. Ideally youll want to leave the blender stand out on the counter and just move around your pitcher.
Ive gotten into a nice routine and I am not sure what I would do without it!!! Pitcher cleans up very nicely with a drop of Dawn and about a quart of water.
I thought my Oster(2007ish) was an ok blender until now. Wow! The power is shocking even after dozens of YouTube vidoes! I wear earplugs because I have really sensitive ears.
I have an older home and it does not fit under the cabinets with the blending container on. Defiantly worth the counter space though. This Ascent is beautiful, I purchased the white.
It was easy to register with Vitamix. I did it on the phone, but you can also do it online. The 10 year warranty was really what helped me make the decision to make this purchase.
I have an early incarnation of a Vitamix, but I dont use it as often as I used to, or as often as I should. For one thing, my counter space is precious real estate.
There are only so many appliances that can be crammed onto it.I put this one right next to it so that I could see how they compared side to side with various tasks. As far as performance, they are actually pretty close, the one exception was making potato pancakes. They both blended the ingredients well, making a nice batter.
The Ascent was able to leave more uniform chunks when pulsing, as opposed to larger pieces of onion in an otherwise smooth batter. For potato pancakes, you want identifiable pieces of onion and potato, but not oversized. As you can see, they came out perfect.
Chunks of potato and onion, and egg, some salt and pepper. After frying, more salt and pepper. And, of course, this unit has some important updates. Love being able to walk away while it does its job...there are settings for soup and ice cream.
I made lemon ice sorbet that was delicious. Lemons, ice, and sugar. Thats it. You can use dry ingredients that are already in your cupboard to make a really good ice cream.
I made one with powdered milk, ice cubes, sugar, and vanilla. For better or worse, because its a matter of preference, the lid is more like a food processor lid as opposed to the older version rubber lid.
