Volusia deputies finds missing Alzheimer man in muddy woods

When a DeLand-area resident with Alzheimer's disease went missing yesterday evening, these deputies went out to help find him.

Thanks to a team effort with lots of help from family and neighbors, Air One overhead and a reverse 911 out to homes in the area, deputies were able to find him about a mile into the muddy woods.

He was brought back to his house and medically cleared. Thanks to all involved in this effort!
