Causes of Cats' Fear of Cucumbers

Although it may seem odd behaviour, a cat jumping at the sight of a cucumber is instinctive, just as the cat habit of sitting on the floor in a "box" made of tape. Remember that the cucumber must be positioned discretely just out of the cat's line of sight if you wish to try this cucumber prank. The unexpected appearance of an object that wasn't there before may startle the cat as it turns to see what its human is doing.
