Gun hunters don't have to be concerned with The Speed of Sound, because a bullet travels much faster and the deer doesn't have time to react to the shot. However, with bow hunters this is completed different! Most often sound gets to the deer 3 to 4 times faster than the arrow. This gives the deer and edge in being able to react to this unnatural sound from the bow, and potentially duck the arrow.
