Around 100 farmers and truck drivers on Monday blocked the road leading to the entrance to an oil refinery near Lyon, France, in protest of soaring fuel prices.
The blocking operation of the Total Energies refinery in Feyzin, by truck drivers and farmers, was lifted in the afternoon of Monday March 21 after having lasted a good part of the day. It was not easy to convince everyone to lift the blockade around 4 p.m. Many wanted to stay put and continue to block access to the city’s main fuel depot.
