GOD’S “I LOVE YOU” PROVISION

There's something about Luke's account of the Last Supper that really stirs my heart, and it does because it reminds me just what Jesus did for me. It also gets me to thinking about what the bread and the cup truly mean, but also as this morning's devotional writers stated that this was the most lavish pairing of food and wine ever expressed through what Jesus did on the cross for us, and it's something I'm very grateful for. I think that's why not only this morning's scripture, but also these questions from this morning's devotional are so deeply challenging my heart right now, and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will both encourage and challenge you through them too.

What is a favorite food that you use in celebration?

I have to say there are a lot of foods that I find as my favorite you know in a celebration. Steak, chicken, pork chops, hamburgers, hot dogs, and yes cake and pie! The key thing is in this though, is that while the food is great and it provides a very important aspect of the celebration, the most important aspect of it is the people around us that we're sharing this celebration with. Most of all, it is a reminder of God's perfect provision in meeting our needs, and how He does say “I love you to us through making sure we have what we need.

What I'd like to do right now, is share some thoughts that are on my heart through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight. I pray that it helps you see God's love for you in how He faithfully provides for you, and that you are grateful to Him for it. As I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with this final question from this morning's devotional comment and I pray that it challenges you to show gratitude and thankfulness for what God provides for you.

How can you thank God as you enjoy food today?

I think one of the best ways to do this, is to thank God for the ability to obtain food, how about the truck drivers out there that bring the food to us, and yes the people that prepare it! These are just some of the many ways we can show thanks to God for not only the food we enjoy, but for the things that we have. That's what I want to challenge all of you with tonight. Ask God to show you ways to show gratitude for all that He faithfully provides for you, including your daily bread and your very salvation, and don't be afraid to thank Him for these things every day! 😊
