The final decision-making centers are not located on the territory of Kyiv.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev threatened the West with a nuclear war over the supply of missiles to Ukraine. He stated this in an interview with the Al Jazeera TV channel, Interfax reports.

Medvedev promised that Moscow would strike deadly at the decision-making centers if Kyiv uses the HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) received from the United States against Russia.

As targets, Medvedev indicated the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of Ukraine, and “anything else.” However, he noted that “the final decision-making centers are not located on the territory of Kyiv,” so there is a threat that will need to be taken into account.

In this regard, he called the idea of the impossibility of a nuclear war erroneous, especially since such cases have already been in history.

According to him, Russia can use such weapons in response to a nuclear strike or an attack on “critical infrastructure”. A similar reaction will follow if conventional weapons are used to defeat, but this strike will “threaten the existence of the state itself.”
