Crimean bridge, which connects the Russian mainland with the peninsula, would become the main military objective, once Ukraine receives the weapons promised by West.

Ukraine delivered a strike against drilling rigs belonging to the Crimea-based gas company Chernomorneftegaz, wounding three workers and the search for others missing continues, Crimea’s Head Sergey Aksyonov wrote on his Telegram channel on Monday.

According to Aksyonov, 12 people were on the platforms at the time of the attack, five of whom were evacuated from the facilities, while the search for the missing continues.

The Russian Defense Ministry has launched a rescue operation involving patrol boats and aircraft, the head of the republic said. "Patrol boats and patrol planes are there, ensuring that the rescue operation is carried out," he stressed.

Last week, the Major General of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Dmitri Marchenko, revealed that the Crimean bridge, which connects the Russian mainland with the peninsula, would become the main military objective, once they receive the weapons promised by West.
