CHP hoists an unconscious hiker on the Vista Trail

This morning at approximately 10:30 am, CHP H-32 responded with firefighters from Sonoma County and Sonoma Life Support to a report of an unconscious hiker on the Vista Trail.

H-32 arrived overhead and located the patient, unconscious on a single track trail. H-32 hoisted the patient approximately 75 feet from the trail to H-32. H-32 flew the patient to a nearby LZ and transferred him to a waiting ambulance. The patient was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial in critical condition.
