The Church Hill Rescue Squad set up a fund at Civis Bank in Rogersville, TN to accept the funds. YouTubers held a days-long marathon to collect money for the reward fund. Some question the integrity of those who collected the money. The Church Hill Rescue Squad wants to be released from all liability when distributing the funds, and filed a "Petition for interpleader and declaratory judgment to determine rights with respect to a fund".
