"Success is a Choice" podcast host Jamy Bechler sat down with College Football Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Ballard at the Fatherhood Festival.

This event took place at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio on Father's Day weekend 2022. Some of the athletes in attendance included Anthony Munoz, Mike Singletary, Ben Garland, Ed McCaffrey, Christian McCaffrey, David Tyree, and Shaun Alexander. Some of the event's organizers included Justin Blatt, Michael Munoz, Darrin Gray, and Rachel Joy Baribeau.

Jim Ballard broke numerous school, conference, and NCAA records en route to leading the Mount Union (OH) College Purple Raiders to their first-ever Division III National Championship in 1993. He was a two-time 1st Team All-American and shattered 17 Division III records and threw for over 12,000 yards and 150 touchdowns. Jim won the inaugural Melberger Award and the Gagliardi Trophy as Division III's Player of the Year.

Jim owned every Mount Union passing record by the end of his career and still holds the NCAA record for the highest number of touchdowns thrown in a playoff game (8). In 2008, Jim's collegiate greatness was recognized when he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Jim played quarterback professionally for 10 years and now runs the BallardQuarterbackAcademy.com
