PURSUING WISDOM’S TREASURE

Proverbs 2:4-5 King James Version
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA GANG!!!
There's something about not only the book of Proverbs, but in particular, this passage of scripture, that really challenges my heart, as well as encourages me when I read it. It challenges my heart, to not only pursue and seek the wisdom that God offers but encourages me to never give up and doing so. I especially really love what Solomon says about this, as he's speaking to his children, because he wants to impart this important wisdom, this vital information to them, and he praised that the listen. This is the very wisdom that we need to pursue every day, to turn our ear to wisdom and apply our hearts to understand on a daily basis. I think that's why the questions in this morning's devotional, were exceptionally challenging to my heart, and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will speak to you through them.

How does God reveal Himself to you most often?

When he does, how do you come to understand what He's revealed?

I was thinking about this a great deal, not just as I was reading this passage of scripture, but also with this morning's devotional, and was amazed to realize Just how God speaks to us, and the multiple ways/methods He chooses to do so. As I think of the ways in which God chooses to speak to us, I can't help but be in awe of it. It makes my desire, my hunger and thirst for God even stronger, and that's something I praise God for.

What I'd like to do tonight, is share some of my thoughts on this passage of scripture, but also on how important it is, how vital it is to pursue God's wisdom, to seek God's understanding, and to do so like it is the most prized treasure on earth! Because when we choose to do this, God will help us to grow in a deeper knowledge of Him. Come join me in this vlog and learn what it means to truly pursue God's wisdom! 😊

So, as I close this post for tonight, I want to challenge you with these questions from this morning's devotional and ask yourself not only how God reveals himself to you, as well as how you come to understand how He's revealed Himself to you, but to take what He’s show new, and act on it! To do as Warren Wiersbe so brilliantly stated, “If you want wisdom, you must listen to God attentively (Matt. 13:9), obey Him humbly (John 14:15), ask Him sincerely (James 1:5), and seek Him diligently (Isa. 55:6-7), the way a miner searches for silver and gold.” That’s well worth pursuing!!!
