Sonic the Hedgehog was originally created by Sega for the Sega Genesis in 1991. It is a platform game which has been followed by many sequels and spinoffs. The game's eponymous protagonist, Sonic, must run the length of a level to reach an end-of-level guardian character who typically protects a "special stage" that can be used to generate one of two different power-ups: either an extra life or a shield that can protect Sonic from getting killed.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a video game franchise created by Sega. In the games, Sonic must stop Dr. Eggman from taking over Earth by destroying his robots and mechanical animals. The first game in the series was released on June 23, 1991 and was designed to compete with Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. Series (from Wikipedia) In many of his adventures, Sonic races against other characters including his best friend Tails or classic "bad guy" Knuckles to collect all the Chaos Emeralds before Dr. Robotnik can get his hands on them!

Sonic the Hedgehog is a 3D game that can be downloaded on an iPhone. It’s a fast paced game that is easy to play with simple controls. The levels get progressively harder as you continue through them. You need to collect rings in order to keep your life and make it through the level alive. There are different types of rings: red ones give you 10 seconds of protection from damage; blue ones give 20 seconds; green ones are worth 50 points each; and yellow ones award 100 points each time you collect one. If you run out of lives, it’s game over! Sonic runs automatically so all you have to do is tilt your device left or right to move him in that direction or jump by tapping the screen when he’s in mid-air.

The world needed a hero, we got a hedgehog. Powered with incredible speed, Sonic The Hedgehog (voiced by Ben Schwartz), aka The Blue Blur, embraces his new home on Earth. That is, until he accidentally knocks out the power grid and sparks the attention of super-uncool evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey). Now it’s super-villain vs. super-sonic in an all-out race across the globe to stop Robotnik from using Sonic’s unique power for world domination. Sonic teams up with The Donut Lord, aka Sheriff Tom Wachowski (James Marsden), to save the planet in this live-action adventure comedy that’s fun for the whole family.
