Holocaust. The Questions I Never Asked

‘One of Nazism’s main features is hatred of ethnicities’. These are the words of Vladimir Trakhtenberg, a former prisoner of the Minsk ghetto.

During the Second World War, the Nazis killed more than 800,000 Jews in Belarus. In addition, they created death camps and ghettos in the country. ‘When we talk about the ghetto now, we can say it was a terrible place, a place of mass murder’, says Vladimir.

The Nazis and collaborators robbed and killed people with impunity, forbade them lots of things, and for any disobedience, there was only one punishment - execution.

The subjects of the new RT Documentary film Holocaust. The Questions I Never Asked are former prisoners of the Minsk ghetto. They say Nazism hasn’t gone away but is flourishing in Ukraine. Former prisoners also recall there were Ukrainians among the guards in the ghetto, who treated them with extreme cruelty. Watch the film premiere.
