1 John 3:16 King James Version
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

GOOD EVENING AND HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY EVERYONE!!!

I have to say that no matter how many times I read this particular passage of scripture, God always shows me something precious and special from it, and today was no different. I was especially challenged with what Jesus was saying concerning sacrificial love, and today we celebrate not just simply the freedoms that we have, but those who God uses to make sure that we have those freedoms the people that are serving our country right now, have served, and yes those that have given their very lives, for the freedoms that we have! I think that's why these questions from this morning's devotional, are challenging my heart today, and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will challenge you through them as well.

What is one way you could demonstrate sacrificial love today?

What holds you back from loving sacrificially?

What I'd like to do right now my friends, is share some things that God has put on my heart today through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight. It has to do with that sacrificial love that we are to share with others by emulating the very One who sacrificed His life for you and me. Come join me in this vlog, and learn what true sacrificial love and freedom are all about! 😊

So, as I close this post tonight, I want to challenge you to think of ways in which you can demonstrate sacrificial love not just today, but every day. Ask yourself what is holding you back from loving sacrificially, and ask God to help you overcome whatever it is that is keeping you from doing so. I also pray that you truly realize what today is, and the sacrifices that so many have made, are making, and will make, to make sure that you are free. The one important thing that we need to remember as a nation, is that this day isn’t about parades, cook outs, and going to the Jersey Shore, but about GENUINELY honoring the men and women who sacrifice their lives on a DAILY basis, some of whom make the ultimate sacrifice, for our freedoms, and we need to show them the gratitude and appreciation they so richly deserve.

UNTIL TUESDAY EVERYONE;

HAVE A VERY BLISSFUL EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
