7 Ways Christians Should Relate to the Culture

We as Christians are to go into the world, but we carry our own environment with us, just as a scuba diver takes his oxygen tank into the water so he can breathe.
James chapter 1 verse 27 says that pure religion is to keep oneself unstained by the world, which means to be holy and separated from the world.
How do we accomplish not loving the things in the world? By filling ourselves up with the love of God. The opposite of love is lust. Lust is empty and unsatisfying, but the Love of God acts as a reservoir that fills us completely, allowing no room for the desire of the world.
