Friday Morning Devotions from Bethany Church, July 3, 2020

On Friday mornings our devotional will come from Samuel Rutherford's Letters. This morning we read a pastoral letter from Rutherford to a friend as he sat in prison for preaching the gospel. In this letter we see Rutherford lamenting his own sin and weaknesses in finding comfort in Christ during his imprisonment. He reminds himself as he writes to his friend and fellow minister John Fergushill, that Christ's providence is wiser than his own plans and that he must rest in His grace and plan.
