Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics (Switch) - Game #30: Pig's Tail

Game #30 on our list of 51 Worldwide Classics is the last card game in the collection, Pig's Tail! In this game, players take turns flipping a card from the circular field and putting it in the center. If a player draws a card of the same suit as the one drawn before it, that player takes the whole pile. There is an option to allow players to play the cards in their penalty hand instead of drawing. Either way, once all the cards in the circle have been drawn, the player with the fewest penalty cards in their hand wins.

Because this is a luck-based game, there are no adjustable difficulty settings for the CPU, so all you have to do is win once to master the game. Also, each time you play it, you can unlock a piece of trivia about the game. There are four pieces of trivia about Pig's Tail:

1. Wild pigs don't have curly tails, as seen in the layout for this game, but most domesticated pigs do.
2. The curly tail gene in pigs is dominant. That means if a pig with a curly tail and a pig with a straight tail have piglets, the piglets will have curly tails. (Not necessarily, if the curly-tailed pig has one dominant curly gene and one recessive straight gene and passes on the recessive gene)
3. Pigs are clever enough animals to play simple video games. Do you suppose they would enjoy Pig's Tail?
4. In addition to video games, there are signs that pigs know how to use tools. They also pass the mirror test, meaning they recognize their own reflection.
