FOUR PERSPECTIVES OF LEADERSHIP [EPISODE 43]

In this episode I discuss the first assignment I give in my Leadership Development class. I ask them to find images that answer 4 questions: 1) What I believe leadership is, 2) How your boss approaches leadership, 3). What Society Thinks about it, and 4) What employees feel as a consequence.
While this appears to be a simple or silly assignment, when you look beneath the surface, you find that it reveals great insight into the both the nature of leadership and the students’ experience with leadership.
I will review 7 of my students’ submissions and you will see how much you can learn from this simple assignment. The purpose of this program is to help you become a better leader. If you are going to be the kind of leader that you would want to follow, you must understand how your leadership is perceived.
