Selling A House- Fix Up Your Home Or Sell As Is - Consider Top Home Improvements, Or Fast Sale

Should you fix up your home before putting it for sale, or sell as is?
You have decided to sell your house. Now, you need to decide, should you spend some money and fix it up before you put it on the market, or is it best to sell your home “as-is”?

First, get the correct estimate of value for your home- don’t rely on online home valuations. Also, get an idea on how much would it sell for in its current condition, or what minor improvements could be made to increase its value and shorten its time on the market.
Second, get an inspector. The inspector will give you a clear statement on your home’s condition and what to fix or not.
Third, consider some cosmetic repairs to the house and be smart about what you’re choosing.
Today I’m going to give you 4 top home improvements that would give you the highest return on your investment.
The first one is the flooring. Replace that old carpet with cost-effective hard flooring. If you do have some old wood floors, refinishing them would make a huge difference.
Second, give your house a fresh coat of paint throughout.
Third, give some attention to your kitchen and bathrooms. New countertops, backsplash and new cabinets will add tremendous value to your home. However, just re-facing, or repainting the cabinets and adding brand new hardware will get your return on your investment instantly.
Fourth, doors and windows. Today’s home buyers want high impact doors and windows. Check out some programs such as yGreen and take advantage of what they offer. If you have accordion shutters in place, call in the company to service them.
Before you go ahead and do all or, any of these improvements, make sure to know your market. Remember that it is imperative to price the home correctly. If the price it just right to sell, it will attract many more buyers and potentially multiple offers, driving the price even higher.
