Bass Fishing Cane Creek Reservoir

Hey guys I got the chance to fish a what has been said "trophy" largemouth bass lake here in NC. You have to be picked in a random drawing to be able to fish the lake. It cost me $12.50 to fish the lake plus fuel to drive the 1 hr and 10 mins to the lake. But I had a great time as always fishing with Mark Patterson President of the NCKFA.
Now that I have been on the lake once and know a little more about it hopefully my next trip I will be able to produce a bigger bag.

I caught all my fish on a Slam Shady Paddletail 2.0 swimbait with a 3/0 Owner Weighted TwistLock Hook.

Cane Creek Reservoir Lake Info:
Cane Creek is open with restrictions. Please visit the website for details. The reservoir, managed by OWASA, was built in 1989 to complement University Lake. Free picnic and sunbathing areas plus 0.25-mile nature trail. Fees are charged for lake use and kayak, canoe, and flat-bottomed boat rentals. No swimming or bodily contact is permitted in the lake. Cane Creek Reservoir is stocked with bass, crappie, catfish, and a variety of sunfish. A State fishing license is necessary except on July 4th. Open late March thru mid-November.
