Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 - Boss Rush Clear (Normal, Veteran)

A new update for Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2, a game I started covering in last week's Sunday Longplay (and will be continuing tomorrow as well!), just dropped last week! This update adds a Boss Rush mode unlocked after beating the Final Episode (that means I have all four episodes recorded and ready to go!). In this mode, you fight all of the bosses of the game in a row in one straight shot with no extra lives and limited one-time-use items.

Though it may be the same basic formula as the boss rush in the first Curse of the Moon game, this game expands upon the formula in several ways. First of all, unlike the first game, in this one you fight ALL of the final bosses from all of the different episodes rather than just the first episode's final boss like in the first game (the Nightmare Mode final boss did not show up in that game's boss rush). Second, there are a few different options you can change. At first, only two options are available: 1 or 2 players, and Casual (reduced damage, no knockback) or Veteran (authentic Castlevania) style. But once you beat the Boss Rush once, you can unlock more options, including setting the boss difficulty to either Normal (Episode 1) or Hard (Episode 2 and beyond), setting Zangetsu to either his Standard or Ultimate (with all of the Soul Powers from Ultimate Mode in COTM1) form, and either limited (default) or unlimited items and weapon points.

Since this is my first run of Boss Rush mode, I have to play it on Normal mode in Veteran style to unlock the rest of the options and unlock the real test.
