But what God joined together let no man sperate. 70% of divorces are initiated by women in todays world and that jumps to 90% when they are college educated. When the family fails apart then society falls apart. People are usually not better off on the other side of divorce. Believe me i know from experience. I think you can leave a marriage for infidelity, physical abuse or drug and alcohol abuse if your partner refuses to turn from these things when confronted. Doug explains that often young women think they can leave the marriage when the feeling of love are no longer present. Covenant is for life in the sight of God and you can only opt out under VERY serious situations.
