God describes in His book, the Bible, how that after the global flood, "the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech" (Genesis 11:1). And they, the ancestors of us all, Noah's great-grandchildren, decided collectively to build a city and a tower in the plain of Shinar (Sumer), "lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth" (Genesis 11:4b). As a result, the LORD God went down, "and there confound[ed] their language, that they may not understand one another's speech" (Genesis 11:7b). Why, where, and when did this confusion of humanity's language occur? What does all this mean for us today? In this 11th talk, Dr. Barber introduces God's confusion of language, and thus His creation of tribes and nations, as recorded in Genesis 10–11. For more: www.togetherinchristu.com
