Left Hand Drawing -- With Artist Commentary

I continue to try to improve my pencil drawing technique with my left hand by drawing my niece June. I talk about the drawing process as I watch my timelapse, and I give a few helpful drawing tips for beginners. Left-hand drawing is very difficult, but with some practice, I have noticed a slight improvement in line quality, shadows, and workflow.

Materials I used in this video:
HB Pencil --Harder led than B pencils. Great for lighter areas
B Pencil --Softer led than the HB pencil. Great for darker shadows
Kneaded eraser --Very malleable eraser which increases the accuracy of erasing

How / Why I sharpen my pencil the way I do:
I use an Exacto knife to shave it to a point and then use fine sandpaper wrapped around a wood block to further sharpen the point.
The pencil will stay sharper for longer and you can get finer detail.
